Aluminum alloy door and window sealing strips are mainly used in building decoration aluminum alloy doors and windows such as plastic steel aluminum alloy doors and windows, aluminum alloy doors and windows, wood aluminum alloy doors and windows, aluminum coated aluminum alloy doors and windows. Aluminum alloy door and window seals on the market are generally made of PVC, modified PVC, EPDM, and elastomeric seals (including TPV) TPE、TPR、SEBS)、 Silicone and other materials are extruded to form.

Aluminum alloy door and window seals on the market are generally made of PVC, modified PVC, EPDM, and elastomeric seals (including TPV) TPE、TPR、SEBS)、 Silicone and other materials are extruded to form. According to different purposes, it can be divided into three categories: door leaf and door frame sealing strips, wool strips, and glass sealing strips (rubber strips). Door leaf/set sealing strips are mainly used for sealing between door panels and door frames, while wool strips are mainly used for sealing between door frames and door leaves, and glass sealing strips are mainly used for sealing between glass and door leaves and frames.
Glass gasket and sealing rubber strip
Window frames and sashes should be welded and cleaned, and the rubber strip should be pushed into the groove of the profile with a small amount of force using a special roller in the correct direction. At the same time, the head of the rubber strip should be pressed down until it is embedded into the groove of the profile. Due to the elastic nature of the rubber strip, it may experience shrinkage after being rolled.
The correct method is to retract the rubber strip slightly towards the middle when installing it at the interface of both ends, leaving a shrinkage margin of 2-3 centimeters, and then cut and insert it into the groove.
Glass pressure strip
Insert the tip of the rubber strip into the groove of the profile manually, and then press the exposed surface of the rubber strip firmly to press it into the gap between the glass and the profile. The rubber strips at both ends should be retracted slightly towards the middle, leaving a length of 1-2 centimeters before cutting and pressing into the slot.
Precautions for installation of aluminum alloy door and window sealing strips
1. Before installing the glass, carefully remove any debris in the groove, such as mortar, brick chips, wooden blocks, etc. When placing the glass, it should be carefully aligned to ensure even gaps on both sides and fixed in a timely manner to prevent collision, displacement, and deviation from the center of the groove.
2. The rubber sealing strip should not be pulled too tightly, and the cutting length should be 20-30mm longer than the assembly length. When installing, it should be embedded in place, with a flat surface and close contact with the glass and glass groove, so that the force around the glass is evenly distributed. At the corner, the rubber strip should be cut off with a sloping surface and firmly bonded with adhesive at the break.
When using sealant to fill and fix glass, first use rubber strips or rubber blocks to squeeze the glass, leaving a gap for glue injection. The depth of glue injection should not be less than 5mm. Before the glue solidifies, the glass should be kept free from vibration.
4. The installation position of the woolen strip is generally on the window (door) sash, the surrounding area of the frame sash, or on the sealing bridge (wind block) to enhance the sealing between the frame and the sash.
5. The specification of the wool strip is an important factor affecting the waterproof performance of push-pull aluminum alloy doors and windows, as well as the opening and closing force of aluminum alloy doors and windows. Excessive size or high vertical hair of the wool strip not only makes assembly difficult, but also increases the resistance to the movement of aluminum alloy doors and windows, especially the initial resistance when opening and the positioning resistance when closing.
6. If the specification is too small or the height of the vertical hair strip is not enough, it is easy to slip out of the groove, which greatly reduces the sealing performance of aluminum alloy doors and windows. The wool strips need to undergo silicification treatment. The appearance of qualified wool strips is flat on the surface, with smooth bottom plate and vertical hair, no bending, and no pockmarks on the bottom plate, meeting the requirement of 0.2mm.
